The Bakery Unit at The Nyeri National Polytechnic is nearing completion and will soon introduce “Highlands Bread” to local shelves.
Designed as an Income Generating Activity, the bakery brings together modern baking equipment, professional standards, and hands-on training in one purpose-built facility.
“Highlands Bread” reflects the freshness and quality associated with Nyeri’s cool highland climate, crafted with care, consistency, and skill.
From Dough to Shelf
Production will follow a clear, controlled workflow:
Dough preparation using industrial mixers
Proofing under monitored conditions
Baking in modern ovens for uniform results
Cooling, slicing, and hygienic packaging
Preparation for daily distribution
This process ensures both product quality and skills mastery.
