The Nyeri National Polytechnic (NNP) is set to host the 3rd NNP International Research and Innovation Conference and Skills Expo, bringing together researchers, trainers, industry players, innovators, and students for a practical conversation on solutions that work.

Now in its third edition, the conference has grown into one of NNP’s key platforms for promoting research, innovation, and skills development within the TVET space. It also provides an opportunity for institutions and partners to share ideas, showcase innovations, and strengthen collaborations that support national development.

This year’s programme will feature panel discussions, research presentations, exhibitions, and skills showcases, with a strong focus on real-world approaches to challenges facing communities, institutions, and industry.

According to the organisers, the event is designed to move research beyond discussion by promoting real-world applications and impacts.

NNP has continued to position itself as a leader in TVET advancement in Kenya, having recorded several national milestones over the years—including curriculum development and the rollout of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The institution recently made history again after becoming the first TVET institution in Kenya accredited to offer Level 7 programmes, reinforcing its reputation for pushing the boundaries of skills training.
