The Nyeri National Polytechnic (NNP) today hosted a delegation from the Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) as part of ongoing efforts to support skills recognition and certification under the Ujuzi Manyattani programme.
The team was led by Mr. Ture Boru, Principal of Laikipia North TVC, and Mr. Collins Nyakundi, the Ujuzi Manyattani Coordinator.
The visit focused on the progress of the Ujuzi Manyattani Assessment, a collaborative initiative between The Nyeri National Polytechnic and Laikipia North Technical and Vocational College aimed at supporting skills development in communities.
Through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme, skilled artisans and community members are able to have their practical, hands-on skills formally assessed and certified. This recognition helps bridge the gap between informal skills and formal qualifications, creating pathways for employment, career growth, and new opportunities.

NNP remains committed to promoting inclusive training, industry-relevant certification, and opportunities that support national development through TVET.
