Objectives
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
- To equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in pharmaceutical sciences.
- To train competent pharmacy technicians capable of assisting in dispensing, manufacturing, and quality control of medicines.
- To promote ethical practice and adherence to regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical services.
- To prepare graduates for employment in hospitals, pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries, and regulatory agencies.
Community Health
- To train health workers with skills to promote and improve community health and hygiene.
- To enable graduates to participate in disease prevention, health education, and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
- To prepare students for roles in primary healthcare delivery and community outreach programs.
- To encourage community-oriented research and interventions that address local health challenges.
Department Functions
The department performs the following key functions:

Upcoming Programs
The department is in the final process of introducing the following additional programs, subject to regulatory approval:
- Level 6 (Diploma) in Medical Health Records and Information Technology
- Level 5 (Certificate) and level 6 (Diploma) in Nutrition and Dietetics
These new courses aim to broaden the scope of training and increase opportunities for students interested in health-related careers.
