About The Library
The Nyeri National Polytechnic Library provides user-centered service, which embraces the use of new technologies as well as traditional learning materials to inform and enable acquisition of skills in the training fields. It contributes to developing a skilled, innovative and employable graduate workforce. In addition, this department aims to foster good relationships with other TVET institution libraries and information services, to sufficiently meet its clientele’s information needs.
The library provides a high-quality study environment for users with a sitting capacity of 380 users combining traditional collections and e-learning facilities under one roof, delivered by professional and highly skilled staff. It has invested in a Library Management System infrastructure and user friendly applications enabling off campus access,
The Library has subscribed to (MyLOFT) which enables resource discovery of the e-library collections. The Electronic Library gives staff and students access to many subscribed e-books as well as e-Journals databases.

Library Objectives
The Nyeri National Polytechnic Library is committed to meeting the following objectives:
- Selecting and acquiring up-to-date information resources that are relevant to the information needs of the polytechnic library users.
- Organizing the information resources using internationally accepted standards to allow ease of retrieval.
- Adopting information dissemination strategies, current awareness services and selective dissemination of information to ensure optimum utilization of available resources.
- Impacting information literacy skills to the users continually by conducting user education and instruction.
- Adopting technologies that make information resources accessible to the library users in an efficient and effective manner.
- Provide a secure and conducive learning environment for users of library resources.
